All the lovely singing fails to save the Vienna State Opera's new production of Mozart's "La Clemenza di Tito."

George Clinton, Black Eyed Peas settle song suit

George Clinton and the Black Eyed Peas have settled a lawsuit in which the funk pioneer accused the pop group of using his music without proper permission.

German baritone opera singer Fischer-Dieskau dead

Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, the renowned German baritone who performed for more than five decades on stages in Berlin, Vienna, London and New York, died Friday. He was 86.

Country music legend Loretta Lynn is three years older than she has led people to believe, an age change that undermines the story she told of being married at 13 in "Coal Miner's Daughter," documents obtained by The Associated Press show.

Newly discovered documents indicate country music legend Loretta Lynn is three years older than she has led people to believe, a change that casts shadows on the story told in "Coal Miner’s Daughter.” The birth certificate on file at the state Office of Vital Statistics in Frankfort, Ky., shows that Loretta Webb was born on April 14, 1932, in Johnson County, Kentucky. That makes her 80 years old, not 77, as numerous books and other references claim her to be, based on her widely-accepted birth year of 1935. The record was filed in 1965.
