As the man left holding the baton when musicians walked off the job six months ago, Detroit Symphony Orchestra Music Director Leonard Slatkin said the most difficult thing was standing by as the strike played out.

Tentative deal could end Detroit symphony strike

On the six month anniversary of the walkout by Detroit Symphony Orchestra musicians, management and union bargainers said Monday that they have reached tentative agreement to end the long strike.
